| Users with Yahoo! mail addresses - Friday, November 14, 2008For those members that are using Yahoo! mail addresses, yahoo has been deferring any e-mail sent to yahoo addresses from NEDMUG/HTPCUG.
I have contacted them several times and followed their instructions, but they still defer the mail.

| Great Dual Tuner card., 10/15/2007 | | | Reviewer: tyrstag (, United States) | I rebuilt my Media Center last week and decided to replace a couple tuners (a Hauppauge PVR-250 and an AverMedia A180) with dual tuner cards to save PCI slots and to help cut down on heat. I had received a Saber DA-1n1-I from VistaView and a HVR-1600 from Hauppauge so decided to give them a try. (See my HVR-1600 review)
I installed the Saber DA-1n1-I card. I attached my rooftop antenna lead to the ATSC connector and the S-Video and audio ports to my Dish Network receiver. (This used to be connected to a Hauppauge PVR-250)
Media Center configuration wizard saw the card as a "Generic Multimedia Adapter" and could not complete.
Rather than install the drivers from CD, I downloaded the latest 32-bit driver direct from the VistaView.tv website.
The install went fine and once complete I ran the Media Center configuration wizard, MCE now recognized the card as 2 tuners as I expected. 1 analog tuner connected S-Video and 1 ATSC tuner.
I finished the Wizard and started checking all the functions. NTSC TV through the S-Video port looked just as good (if not better) than the Hauppauge had. The hardware encoder seemed to be doing its job since I was getting no skips or stuttering in the playback.
Checking ATSC channels the tuner seemed to change channels faster than my old AverMedia A180 did. Channel changing was almost instantaneous, (except for the 2 second lag for Media Center to catch up with the stream) where the A180 seemed to take a few seconds longer.
Playback on ATSC HD programs seemed to be a problem, but that turned out to be my new video card. I downloaded and installed the NVidia PureVideo Decoder and the playback smoothed right out.
I've been using the card to record Over the Air HD programs as well as SD programs off my Dish receiver at the same time and had no problems at all.
Heat has definitely been lessened by adding the card and removing the 2 cards that were in there.
The card itself is a low profile card that comes with 2 brackets. 1 low-profile and 1 standard profile.
All-in-All I have no complaints about this card. If you want to be able to record 2 programs at once (Remember its 1 ATSC and 1 NTSC Tuner) and want to save PCI slots, this card works very well. Or buy 2 cards and record 4 programs at once!!
